Getting Started
Set up Shot and connect your revenue tools in 5 minutes.
1. Create an account
Sign up at outofmemory.app. You can use email, Google, or GitHub authentication. Once signed in, you'll land on your organization dashboard.
2. Create a project
Projects organize your team memory by scope — one per product, team, or client account.
- Go to Projects in the sidebar
- Click New Project
- Give it a name and slug (e.g., "Enterprise Deals" /
enterprise-deals)
3. Generate an API key
API keys authenticate your AI tools against Shot's MCP server.
- Go to API Keys in the sidebar
- Click Create API Key
- Give it a name (e.g., "Claude Desktop — Sales Team")
- Optionally scope it to specific projects
- Optionally set an expiration date
- Copy the key (starts with
smc_) — you won't see it again

4. Connect your AI tool
Add Shot as an MCP server in your preferred AI client. See the setup guides:
5. Build your team memory
Once connected, your AI assistant has access to Shot's tools. Start building context:
"Remember that our ICP is B2B SaaS companies with 50-200 employees in Europe."
The assistant will call add_memory and store this as a fact. Next time anyone on your team starts a new conversation:
"What's our ICP?"
The assistant will call search_memories and return the answer instantly — full context, no re-briefing.
6. Deploy an agent
Go to the Agent page in your dashboard. Pick a pre-built agent — Account Pre-Call Brief, Deal Next Best Step, or any of the 16 available templates. Click Run, review the plan, and approve.
